“Electronic GERMAN ID CARD 4SALE for Applicants Over 16 Years of Age The electronic German ID card, issued by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, is available to applicants over the age of 16. To apply for this card, you must schedule an appointment online and visit the Embassy or Consulate General responsible for your home state during their opening hours. The actual card will be printed at the Federal Printing Office in Berlin with a processing time of approximately 4-6 weeks. Please note that if a Name Declaration is required, this may significantly increase processing time. For applicants under 24 years of age, the ID card is valid for 6 years. For those over 24 years old, it is valid for 10 years. Minors aged 16 and above can apply for the German ID card without parental or guardian approval.”

Sample Photos for PassportsPDF / 550 KB – Birth certificate indicating exact place of birth (Note: If the US birth certificate only states a county, a separate “proof of birth letter” from the hospital with the town name must also be provided) – Marriage certificate, if applicable divorce decree or death certificate of spouse (for married, divorced, or widowed individuals) – Previous passport (data page with photo) OR ID card – Valid US residence permit (US Resident Alien Card, US residence visa, US passport, US Certificate of Birth Abroad or US Citizenship Certificate). Holders of a Green Card without an expiration date are also required to submit this document. – If your current last name differs from the last name on your previous passport or ID card, additional documentation may be required, – Completed application form (PDF / 694 KB) – Two identical recent biometric passport photos (Please do not cut the photos yourself!) Please note that if your US birth certificate only mentions the county, a “proof of birth letter” from the hospital with the town name must also be provided. – If applicable, marriage certificate, divorce decree, or death certificate of spouse. – Previous passport (data page with photo) or ID card. – Valid residence permit in the US such as a US Resident Alien Card, US residence visa, US passport, US Certificate of Birth Abroad, or US Citizenship Certificate.
